Recently added to my collection at the Ansonville Gallery & Studio, this 16”x24” giclée print on 405 GSM satin poly/cotton canvas. Gallery wrapped and floated in an espresso coloured frame. If you're familiar with this crossing of the Abitibi river in northeastern Ontario, I'm certain you will enjoy this lovely presentation. Please contact me for cost and shipping information.

This photo was taken mid-march. The weather conditions on this day were unusual; fog, thunderstorms and snow. The ice road had thawed and the barge service to/from Gardiner had just recommenced. You can see the remains of the ice road on the right hand side of the photograph. The bright light on the other side of the river is the headlight of a snow machine approaching the crossing.

The above picture of spring thaw is actually the "original", out of the camera version (less a few wires on the left and a bit more clarity). At the time my work leaned more towards the impression the photo inspired. The image (below left) is the first version that was sold. Later, during a dark winter phase, I released the image on the right, a haunting version.
